Creating a better future together

Friends of Iowa CASA and ICFCRB further its mission through both in-person and virtual fundraising events, and public awareness education opportunities. Our organization seeks to further this mission through the four corners of Iowa and are always looking for new opportunities to bring different events to our communities.

Although there are children in foster care placement and/or adjudicated in need of assisstance in all 99 counties, the CASA and foster care review board programs have the capacity to serve only two-thirds and one-third of the state, respectively.

In-Person Fundraising

Throughout the year, Friends of Iowa CASA and ICFCRB hosts a variety of fundraising events for the public to attend. The signature event is the Spring Light of Hope in the Des Moines metro: a free breakfast for community and business leaders who also have the opportunity to hear updates on the condition of Iowa's children adjudicated in need of assistance.

For folks who like a little competition, Friends will be partnering for the second year in a row with Green Tree Brewery for their monthly charity euchre night! This event is so much fun with cards, brews, and raffle prizes donated by Quad City Area businesses.

The 2024 Euchre Night for Friends is Oct. 8 at Green Tree Brewery.

Online Fundraising

Donating to the Friends of Iowa CASA and ICFCRB's mission is as easy as clicking a button! Friends recently celebrating meeting our year end appeal goal for the second year in a row. Generous donors like you also join our Advocates Circle online so their recurring gift can go further. We are also excited to launch the all virtual One Day for Friends on May 8, 2024, which is a 24 hour fundraising period to continue providing the best outcomes for children who experience abuse and neglect.

We can't wait to see you at an event in 2024!
